These are two of the many tiled roof structures found in historic Charleston, South Carolina.    This painting is a view from the studio window of the late Elizabeth O’Neal Verner, one of Charleston’s most famous artist.   The Locklairs painted this watercolor by request of Mrs. Verner’s daughter, Elizabeth Verner Hamilton, poet and author.   The studio is on the third floor of the Tradd Street Press Art Gallery and Museum.
