| The South Carolina Cotton Museum commissioned the Locklairs to paint the original watercolor painting that hangs as a permanent exhibit. Subjects in the painting include the antebellum Kelly house in upper Lee County near Lynches River. The wagon driver is Jerry Locklair and following his wagon is the family beagle dog, Butterbean. Take a close look and you can discover the boll weevils in the cotton. | ||
