This broken-down old push cart made from a trunk turned upside-down and fitted with wheels and handles was pushed on the cobblestone streets of historic Charleston, South Carolina, for 50 years.    It was owned by one of the street vendors and used for selling flowers and hand-woven sweetgrass baskets.    The cobblestones were used as ballast on sailing ships coming from Europe.   The cart and original watercolor painting are both permanent exhibits at the world renowned Charleston Museum.
