Land locked striped bass first reproduced and thrived in the Great Santee Cooper lakes in South Carolina.     They are one of the most challenging sport fish in the fishing world.     The larger of the three stripers was caught by the artist himself near the dam on the Santee Cooper lake.     The Locklairs presented President Jimmy Carter with print number one of the first striped bass painting they did together in 1980 in an Oval Office visit.     This print is the second striper print published by the Locklairs and painted at a later date by Jerry.
